Thomas Bauer – new Managing Director at ZMB Braun

Since 1 May 2020, Thomas Bauer has headed ZMB Braun GmbH as new Managing Director alongside Gerhard Fischer. He succeeds Timo Mader, who after three years has moved back into the automotive industry to take on new challenges there.

Thomas Bauer (46) is a graduate engineer, with many years of experience in the extrusion sector. His last position was as managing director in a medium-sized machine engineering company in Baden-Württemberg. Thomas Bauer is looking forward to working in his new post, and aims to consolidate and expand the partnership-based and reliable cooperation of his predecessor with all business partners. A central aspect of his work at ZMB Braun will be innovation partnerships for customers and research institutes. The focuses of Thomas Bauer‘s work at ZMB Braun include, in respect of systematic customer orientation, the development of customer-specific problem solutions in line with market requirements as well as securing and optimizing of the company’s high quality and lead time standards.

Integrated in the Händle organization since 2014, ZMB Braun is along with the company August Kampen one of the leading partners for the manufacture of dies – offering a wide range of products and solutions for the ceramics industry. “Under the management of Thomas Bauer, a proven and experienced expert, we shall further develop our company with regard to both technology and business in the interest of our customers,” says Gerhard Fischer, Managing Director at Händle and ZMB Braun.

Since the takeover of the company by Händle GmbH Maschinen und Anlagenbau, Mühlacker, ZMB Braun has undergone investment and restructuring measures. This included besides the implementation of an end-to-end ERP system and 2D/3D CAD-system software, the permanent and effective optimization of processes and procedures – especially in mechanical production, in electroplating and assembly.
