CO2 emission trading: What can the brick and tile industry expect from 2021?

The paper addresses the situation with regard to EU emission trading from 2021. From 2021 to 2030, CO2 trading is going into its fourth round. After the relevant directive was approved in spring 2018, it is now a matter of formulating the free allocation for industrial plants, like, for example, brickworks. It is reported whether the clay brick and tile industry will again be able to enjoy carbon leakage protection and how data for free allocation could be acquired in spring/summer 2019. If details on data acquisition have already been decided, these will be discussed.
