Direxa Engineering, LLC. constructs new turnkey facility for Austral Bricks

Austral Bricks has just completed one of the largest facilities for manufacturing facing bricks in the Southern Hemisphere at its Wollert location, with the capacity to produce over 85 mill. Australian standard bricks per annum. This project has doubled the previous capacity of the Wollert site, just outside of Melbourne, Australia.

Direxa Engineering was selected as a partner to ensure this vision translated into reality. Final commissioning of the facility has just been completed with 100% of the guaranteed output met, while at the same time maintaining better than promised fuel consumption.

The site is equipped with state-of-the-art kiln technology for enhanced control of firing to improve the product quality. Additionally the customer has integrated the phase I and phase II car mapping systems, which means that the process controllers know which car is at what stage of the process at any given time.

The focus of the project throughout has been the specific needs of the customer; this means that project success is not only defined by the project figures, but also higher levels of customer satisfaction.
